Booking and Payment
How much deposit do I need to secure the accommodation?
A deposit of 25% of the total accommodation cost is required with 7 days of booking. This is non-refundable should you cancel at any time after booking.
What time is check in/check out?
Check in is from 3pm onwards and check out is by 10.30am.
Can I arrive earlier or depart later?
We are happy to allow you to arrive 1 hour earlier providing the circumstances allow us to e.g. There are no departures on your day of arrival. Similarly, if we do not have any arrivals on your day of departure we will allow you to check out 1 hour later. However this cannot be confirmed until approximately 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. Although we will try our best we cannot guarantee early arrival or late check out.
What is the pre-authorisation? Does the money leave my account?
The pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of an amount to guarantee funds are available to cover any incidentals or extra charges which may occur during your stay. This is not an extra charge and will not affect the cost of your booking. No money will be debited from your account, however you do need to have the funds available as this will show as a pending transaction. What is the amount you pre-authorise?
We pre-authorise £200.00 per apartment booked. One card or multiple cards may be used.
When do I need to provide you with card details to pre-authorise for incidentals?
We will contact you, within 7 days of your arrival, by telephone for your card details.
When will the pre-authorisation be released?
The pre-authorisation amount will be released following departure, providing we do not need to process a payment, and will clear on your statement 10 working days from the original date the pre-authorisation was taken.
What happens if I cancel my booking?

Is there a reception on site?
No, there is no reception at Peter Warehouse. For emergencies please contact Corrina on 07896 212 707.
How do I check in?
The address of Apartments is Peter Warehouse, Peter Lane (just off Market Street) York YO1 8SW. Restricted access – the apartments are situated in a pedestrianized zone with no vehicle access between the hours of 10.30am and 5pm seven days a week.
Please proceed straight to the apartments. Peter Warehouse Apartments are located at the end of Peter Lane through the black iron gates on the left. Once through the black iron gates continue until you reach the beige doors on your left. Next to the beige doors you will see each apartment has a wall mounted silver and black Master Lock key box which contain keys for the apartment.
How do I check out?
Upon departure day please leave all keys inside the apartment and ensure you drop the latch as you leave. Please do not place any keys back in the secure lock box outside. You must ensure the main door to the building is shut securely upon check out.
Amenities and Key Notes
What is provided in the apartments?
All apartments are fully equipped for a self-catered stay. Amenities include; washing machine*, cooker and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer (or fridge with freezer compartment), colour TV, DVD player, CD player, iron and ironing board. We also provide washing up liquid, kitchen bleach spray, tea towels, dish cloth and sponge, kitchen roll, toilet rolls, kitchen foil, cling film, bin liners, hand soap, toilet duck and air freshener. Tea, coffee and sugar sachets and milk pots are also provided for one welcome drink only.
Please note we do not provide shampoo/ conditioner/ body-wash. We advise guests to bring their own toiletries.

Are there glasses, plates and cutlery in the apartment?
All of our apartments are fully equipped for a self-catered stay including all cutlery, utensils, crockery, pots, pans, glasses and mugs.
Are towels and bedding provided?
We provide all bed and sofa bed linen, and one bath towel per person.
Are hairdryers provided in the apartments?
No- we advise that guests bring their own hairdryer
Can we bring extras guests and airbeds?
No – Maximum occupancy of each apartment must not be exceeded. Airbeds are strictly not permitted. We may instruct you or any member of your party to leave immediately where the maximum numbers have been exceeded.
Can you provide highchairs and cots?
High chairs and cots can be provided free of charge upon request.
Is there parking at Peter Warehouse?
No, we do not have any parking. As the apartments are situated in a pedestrianized zone there is also no vehicle access between the hours of 10.30am and 5pm seven days a week.

Is there Wi-Fi?
We provide Wi-Fi free of charge, however please note that the provision of free Wi-Fi is not unlimited. It is intended for general web browsing and we kindly ask you refrain from downloading items from the internet. We reserve the right to charge for excessive use
Do you allow smoking?
All apartments and any communal areas inside the building are strictly non-smoking. We reserve the right to charge £50.00 if it is found that you or any member of your group has been smoking within the accommodation. Please use the cigarette bin provided on the outside wall of the apartment building.
Do you have accessible apartments?
We have two ground floor apartments (Apartment 5 and Apartment 6), however these are not disabled adapted.
Do you accept dogs?
No, we do not allow pets in any of the apartments
What is the closest train station?
York Railway station is the closest station, located less than 1 mile away from Peter Warehouse, approximately 15 minutes’ walk away.
How far away is York City Centre?
Peter Warehouse is located directly in the centre of York.
Are there any taxi numbers provided in the apartments?
Yes, you will find these in the guest information folder in each cottage. Alternatively we can arrange travel for you in advance, which would be paid for along with your accommodation balance. Please contact us for details and prices.
What is closest supermarket and how far away is this from Peter Warehouse?
There is a Tesco Express on Bridge Street, located less than 2 minutes walk from Peter Warehouse.
